Phasing out Legacy chatbot and Website Widget

This Help Center article will describe all you have to know about the transition from Legacy to Pulse.

As part of our ongoing commitment to providing the best possible experience and most advanced technology, we will be phasing out our Legacy chatbot and Website Widget (Legacy) in the upcoming months and deactivate them by the end of December 2024.

Why phasing out?

The Legacy chatbot and website widget are based on outdated technology, which has become increasingly difficult to maintain and improve. Key reasons for this phase-out are:

  • User preferences: End-users (your customers) no longer prefer chatbots that require navigating through menus using buttons; they want direct answers to their questions.
  • Customer feedback: We received a lot of feedback from our customers. This made us decide to create a completely new chat widget, based on your feedback.
  • Technological limits: We have reached the limits of the old technology, making it impossible to further optimize or improve its functionality.
  • High maintenance costs: Maintaining the Legacy systems is time-consuming and costly, both for you, our customers, and for us.

Benefits of Pulse and the new chat widget

  • Improved performance: Pulse uses cutting-edge generative AI, providing more human-like interactions and better overall performance.
  • Easy to set up: It’s very easy to set up, no longer relies on buttons, and can actually think along with the customer, providing a significantly improved customer experience.
