Turn off the Legacy chatbot

In this article, you will learn how to (temporarily) turn off the Legacy chatbot

Do you want to take the Legacy chatbot offline temporarily? No problem! You can always activate the chatbot again. Please note that the suggestion bot will remain active even after the chatbot is disabled.

 

Follow these simple steps to (temporarily) turn off the chatbot: 

  1. Navigate to 'Chatbot (legacy)' in the menu.
  2. Choose 'Activate your chatbot'.
  3. Click on 'Turn off chatbot (& suggestion bot)'. The chatbot will now be turned off.

 

When you want to activate the chatbot again, you can easily do this here as well.

 

Note: Once you take the chatbot offline, the live chat will become active immediately. To prevent customers from unexpectedly receiving no response, it's essential to set up an absence message. Learn how to do this correctly in this article.
