In this article, you’ll learn what Tag Management in Watermelon is, how it helps organize customer conversations, and how it works behind the scenes.
What is Tag Management?
Tag Management is the central place in Watermelon where you can create, edit, and organize tags for your conversations. Tags work like digital sticky notes—they help you mark conversations so you can instantly see what they’re about.
Whether you want to track leads, identify service requests, mark VIP customers, or group product feedback, tags keep your team aligned. With Tag Management, you can:
-
Create new tags when your needs change.
-
Edit existing tags to keep them relevant.
-
Delete outdated tags to keep your list clean.
-
View tag history to see who created a tag and when.
-
Search tags to quickly find the right one, even if you use dozens.
Tag Management works for both Active tags (tags you manually use in conversations) and Automated tags (tags linked to automation rules).
