With the GDPR settings you can easily protect and manage your customer data. In this article we explain how to do this.
- Go to Settings.
- Go to My Company.
- Go to GDPR Compliance Settings.
- Under Delete data you indicate how often you want your customer data to be deleted. Choose from weekly, monthly or yearly.
- Under Older than you choose the frequency you want the data to be deleted. Eg: If you have chosen week above, you can now choose from: 1 week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks etc.
Example: I choose week in my GDPR settings, and 1 week. This means that every day at 00:00 AM (CEST) all data older than 1 week will be deleted.
What is deleted?
When you choose to delete your data, all conversations AND contact information of the client will be deleted. Unless a contact has another conversation within the retention period. Then the contact will remain.
The conversations/contacts will no longer be visible in the platform, but also not in the export of conversations. Once deleted, you cannot revert this.
How do I deactivate the GDPR Compliance?
You can easily deactivate the GDPR by clicking the Turn off button.
