What is Zapier?
Zapier lets you connect Watermelon to thousands of other Web apps. With this connection, you can create workflows between apps. This makes it easier to automate tasks and work more efficiently!
Each Zap has one app as the Trigger, where your information comes from and which causes one or more Actions in other apps, where your data gets sent automatically. We will give you an example:
How do I connect Watermelon to Zapier?
Sign up for a free Zapier account here. After this, we need to create an API key in Watermelon:
- Go to your Settings within the Watermelon platform;
- Go to API key;
- Click Create API key;
- Name your API key;
- Select the read and write permissions of the API key. Select read and write;
- Click Generate API Key;
- Then the API key and the Secret key are generated. Click on the code to copy it to your clipboard;
- Click Complete. You will now be given the option to download the API key and the Secret key as a PDF document;
Note: The Secret Key is only shown once. So save it well!
Now, connect Watermelon with your Zapier account.
- Log in to your Zapier account;
- Navigate to My Apps from the left menu bar;
- Now click on Add connection and search for Watermelon;
- Now fill in the API key and the Secret key, which you generated within the Watermelon platform. Click on Yes Continue;
