To see every order from every customer in your Watermelon platform, you will have to add Mollie. In this article, we explain how to set up this integration.
With the Mollie integration, you can easily see the order history and payment status of your customers. This makes it even easier to help your customers quickly.
Add your Mollie account
How do you integrate your Mollie account with the Watermelon platform?- Go to Integrations.
- Scroll down to Payments and click on Mollie.
- Click on Connect Mollie.
- You will now be redirected to a login page of Mollie. Log in here with your account.
Note: only the owner of the organization can authorize applications.
Give Watermelon access to your Mollie organization. By clicking connect, you give Watermelon access to view your orders and view your payments and refunds. Watermelon itself cannot make changes within your Mollie organization.
Setting custom fields
Now that your Mollie has been added to the Watermelon platform, we can connect the data from Mollie to your Watermelon information.
You can request the following customer data from Mollie:
- First Name
- Last name
- Order number
- Organization name
- Street and number
- Postal Code
- City
- Country
- Date of birth
Custom fields Mollie integration
You can find this information in the column Data. It is important that we now connect this data to the data in Watermelon. In the column Custom field, you can indicate which custom field matches the given data from Mollie. You can choose an existing custom field, or create a new field directly by clicking on Create new.
We also ask you to choose which custom fields are mandatory to be able to request the status from Mollie. These fields validate whether a customer is allowed to request this information or not. We recommend that you at least ask for an email address and order number. You select these custom fields by ticking the box "validation".
Please note: a customer's email address must be available in Mollie in order to display this information on the Watermelon platform.
