Release Notes October

We are very proud to announce our newest features we released this month.🎊 Our development team worked really hard to integrate custom fields part I in your Watermelon dashboard and fixed some bugs. Are you curious about what else has been released? then read on!πŸ”Ž


What’s new?

New features:Β 
  • Custom fields Part I
  • We removed the Out Of Office switch in the dashboard
  • We disabled the close button for chats that have not been startedΒ 


Custom fields Part I
Get to know the person behind your website visits and start recognizing them through Custom Fields πŸ‘₯. Add and create custom fields so you can make contacts in your Watermelon Dashboard. πŸ‰ As example you can create custom fields like first name, last name, email or phone number and you can create your own database with your customers.

We removed the Out Of Office switch in the dashboard
We also removed the Out of office switch in the dashboard because it did not deliver the desired expectations.

We disabled the close button for chats that have not been started
Unfortunately, the close icon created uncertainty when the chat was not yet started. Thats the reason why we disabled the close button for all visitors till the chat is started.

Watermelon loves languages! Previously you had to set the prefered language with each log in. Now the dashboard saves the settings for the next time.

Bugs with the new archive button are fixed
all bugs that came with the release of the new archive button have been fixed. The archive button must work optimally

GIF support in WhatsApp conversations πŸ‘Ύ
Previously conversations with GIF's got stuck in WhatsApp. We fixed this bug and now conversations will continue*.
*GIF's are not visible for WhatsApp users yet as our partner does not support this. We are looking for a solution.
**GIF's send from WhatsApp to the dashboard in a livechat conversation are fully supported.

Retry button for training stuck
Sometimes it could happen that your training will get stuck in the Watermelon dashboard. Right now when the training of your Chatbot gets stuck, a retry button will appear.

Forward to an employee in WhatsApp
It was a bug that conversations couldn’t send to an employee in the dashboard. After this fix all conversations can now also be forwarded to employees in WhatsApp when there is a mismatch.
